Ashley is the sweetest young girl and the cutest thing around. You can tell from the moment you meet her that she has a gentleness to her. In August, she will participate in her second beauty pageant. In preparation for the event, we took some images of her along the streets of Zionsville (just love this town). Hopefully, these images will put her in a position to win “Miss Photogenic.” She has my vote (…if only I were a judge). I love how her personality was really captured in these images. I will give credit where credit is due though…I saw how Audrey Woulard captured a girl doing a jump. I love how Audrey captures children and get a tremendous amount of inspiration from her. So…I put Nate to the test. And…we told our cheerleader Ashley to start jumping. They both hit it dead on. Love it! Enjoy!

sara and chris

Relationships — tiffany at 6:48 am on Friday, June 29, 2007

We are so excited for Sara and Chris’ wedding…they are getting married in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in early-September. They are planning a beautiful ceremony on the beach with an intimate reception following at Riu Palace. It was the first time meeting Sara and Chris at their engagemet shoot…they seem like a fantastic couple we will have a ton of fun with over the border.

the chair

Cool Stuff — tiffany at 11:04 am on Thursday, June 28, 2007

Nate and I found a great chair to shoot portraits on at Captain Logan’s awhile back. We had a bunch of kids over yesterday so we thought we would give it a whirl. Here is what came out of a ten minute session with eight kids just before a major thunderstorm. Enjoy! chairone-0001.jpgchairone-0003.jpgchairone-0005.jpgchairone-0015.jpgchairone-0016.jpgchairone-0019.jpgchairone-0017.jpgchairone-0010.jpgchairone-0018.jpg

seven months

Personal — tiffany at 3:37 pm on Wednesday, June 27, 2007

Elin, Nate’s daughter and my niece, is seven months old! Nate’s wife actually sent me these images and I just had to post them.

She is the sweetest and happiest baby…constantly wearing a huge grin. And, she is a constant source of interest for the twins who attack her as soon as she arrives.

Who would have thought that a year ago we would have three blonde-haired, blue-eyed beautiful girls!!

emily and johnnie

Marriages — tiffany at 11:37 am on Tuesday, June 26, 2007

Emily and Johnnie grew up in very different regions of the world and are from very different backgrounds yet them seem to mesh seamlessly, as do their families. We loved watching the ceremony between these two…because you could just tell it was the most important part of their day. I am not sure Johnnie even took his eyes off his bride! And, what made the ceremony even more special was it was Johnnie’s sister that married them at Light of the World Church.

Emily looked gorgeous. We loved the simplicity of her dress too…it was perfectly elegant. One of our favorite makeup artists, Michelle Hage, had just a little to do with it…but truly Emily looked flawless. Johnnie just makes you smile. He has such a caring look about him. They surround themselves by wonderful people…their wedding party was a pleasure to photograph.

The reception was held at the Radisson’s rooftop ballroom which overlooks the Circle…great views from this grand room! Amy Meyer is awesome to work with. Enjoy!

rachel and kit

Marriages — tiffany at 6:54 pm on Monday, June 25, 2007

balazsblog-0039.jpg

Wow…what a story to tell between these two! They endured a significant event before taking their vows that most will thankfully never experience in their marriage. Just a few months before their wedding Kit was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After thirteen hours of brain surgery and six weeks of chemo/radiation, he met his bride at the alter. There weren’t too many dry eyes this day. You could tell they were just so thankful to have made it to their wedding day. And…they are so in love. Nate loved photographing them.

Their reception followed at Cafe Brauer in Chicago…one of the most fabulous locations for a wedding in the city. Tatiana from Mila Design did a wonderful job adorning the Great Hall with elegant floral designs. And, there is nothing like live music from Larry King Orchestra to keep a party going.

We will never forget Rachel and Kit. They were great to work with and we wish them many long years together.

tyler

seniors — tiffany at 8:50 pm on Saturday, June 23, 2007

‘Tis the season for not only weddings (we have four to post) but senior images as well. Historically, we have shot very few seniors. However, we have had several requests this year and are actually having quite a bit of fun.

Tyler is a quiet kid but deadly on the wrestling mat. We see him often in the newspaper during wrestling season as he wrestles his way to the state championships. He and Nate found some obscure spots around Zionsville for a shoot that was mainly in the rain. Tyler is blessed with great hair…and a lot of it. Enjoy!

jacob

seniors — tiffany at 10:36 pm on Friday, June 22, 2007

Jacob is an incredibly gifted musician and plans to pursue his musical interests in college, and thereafter. One of his key criteria in picking the right university is the music program. He not only plays the piano brilliantly but the guitar and saxophone (though reluctantly). He is a funny kid and we totally enjoyed hanging out with him. His humor is dry and his voice has little inflection…not much rattles his cage. He happens to live in my neighborhood and there isn’t a young boy that doesn’t look up to him. It just so happens that while on this photo shoot we landed him a job at Plum’s Upper Room. You can now see him playing on weekend evenings. Enjoy!
