Nate and our trusty assistant, Shannon, traveled to Batesville, Indiana for the wedding of Lindsey and Ben. To their surprise it was a beautiful, old town. There are a couple of things that got us excited about this wedding…peonies, a bright blue sky, a gorgeous church, a majestic bed & breakfast, an rustic barn, a laid back couple, and a bride with gorgeous eyes.

They added a genuine touch to their programs by including a ‘bio’ of each attendant in their wedding party. It gave a synopsis of how they knew Lindsey and Ben, where they lived, what they did for living, etc. It was a nice touch.

Congratulations!

holiday cards

Cool Stuff — tiffany at 12:53 am on Tuesday, November 27, 2007

‘Tis the season for creating holiday cards.  We still have plenty more to design but I thought I would post some of our favorite creations thus far.  It is not too late (although I may give you a hard time) if you would like to consider ordering some for yourself.  Believe me…I have not even begun to work on my own.  I may find myself sending out Valentine’s Day cards instead.  Enjoy!

One of our favorite couples (Tara and Erik) just sent us the images below. Two of their guests caught us dancing on the dance floor (it wouldn’t be the first time). It may have been the great band or maybe just the great guests at their wedding or maybe a great brother/sister team. Regardless, we managed to have a lot of fun while we worked.

seniors — tiffany at 2:49 pm on Wednesday, November 21, 2007

We loved spending time with this senior from McCordsville despite it being a very windy and cold Autumn day downtown.  She was instantly talkative, adorable, and her eyes sparkled…I guess that is why she was voted Homecoming Queen at her high school.  In fact, see if you can find the tiara in one of the images below.  We were sneaky.   Enjoy!

What Nate and I love most about the wedding business…is that no two weddings have ever been alike…even if they are at the same location. Each wedding carries with it a distinct personality that is first carved out by the bride and groom. And then further developed by their wedding party, guests, decor, and music.

We knew that Krista and Marc were going to have a wedding that was definitely non-traditional…they told us so from the beginning. It was pragmatic, simple, understated, very casual, quirky, and artistic. You see, Krista and Marc are both artists. One of the funniest comments I remember them mentioning early on in our meetings was they preferred few images of ‘inanimate objects.’ So the detail guy that Nate is had to lay off a little for this occasion.

In any case, Krista’s gown was handmade by her mother within hours of her walking down the aisle at the Indianapolis Art Center. And I must say…she carried it off very well. Their best man and maid of honor became ordained in order to perform the ceremony.

We think highly of Krista and Marc and wish them the very best!
