lesley and greg

Relationships — tiffany at 1:38 am on Thursday, November 15, 2007

I love hearing how people met.  Lesley and Greg actually mutually disliked each other at first…then they got to know one another better considering they had similar friends…and BAM…opinions changed.  They really are adorable together.

Lesley and Greg are planning a fabulous wedding at the Columbia Club in May.  They plan to hold both their ceremony and reception there…which we love!  We had a great time with them during their engagement shoot despite it being windy and cold downtown.  We even stopped at a hot dog stand to warm up during the shoot as many Colts fans were preparing for the home game.

ballerinas and bruisers

Cool Stuff — tiffany at 7:43 pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2007

We are thrilled with the newest addition to Main Street in Zionsville…Ballerinas and Bruisers owned by Steve Schwartz. It is 100 percent, absolutely the type of store that belongs along the brick-lined, picturesque street. It is an eclectic boutique with adorable children’s clothing, mixed in with unique items for cats/dogs, and tasty treats in the back of the store. They anticipate having birthday parties on the back patio beginning in the Spring…a perfect spot for an intimate party for toddlers.

Sweet Lucinda’s is the specialty bakery in the back of the store. We have been an avid fan of Sweet Lucinda’s for years since she started selling her baked goods at the Zionsville Farmer’s Market. In fact, if you really want a special dessert for your guests at your wedding…contact Courtney. She will whip something whimsical up just for you. See some of her treats below. They are almost too pretty to eat.

Ballerinas and Bruisers does not have their site up yet but check back within a few weeks. Enjoy!

julie and david

Marriages — tiffany at 4:06 pm on Tuesday, November 13, 2007

roeblog-0045.JPG

It was the most dedicated time that Nate has spent with a bride and groom all year. Julie and David especially reserved several hours after they greeted each other for the first time to adventure around the city. They made stops at the rooftop of Lockerbie Factory, the Circle, the Simon Fountain, War Memorial, and along the Canal.

Bob Ridge of IndyVisual also participated in the intimate shoot. We always enjoy his companionship and hope to work more together in 2008. We also love when a couple has a vintage car reserved from Jack Gambs of Antique Limo of Indy. It makes for spectacular images.

The ceremony was held at the grand St. Mary’s downtown Indianapolis with the reception following at the Bridgewater Club. They clearly have a very close family as oodles of kids participated in the event. One interesting note…this is the second couple this year that has been introduced through their OB/GYN…perhaps there is a business in that?!?!

We appreciate our friends, Stacy & Mary, for referring Julie and David to us. They were unfortunately already booked for Julie and David’s wedding date. And…Mary’s husband happened to be the best man.

lindsay and andy

Lindsay and Andy had a beautiful, traditional wedding beginning at Trinity Episcopal with a reception following at Woodstock Country Club. Nate and our assistant, Shannon, agreed that Lindsay had the most exquisite bustle on her gown. I also love the way she wore her hair. And…I love bagpipers that lead the couple back down the aisle.

Lindsay and Andy are a very social couple…always organizing outings with their friends. They seem to have traveled a lot as well. In fact, they were engaged in Key West. Anyway, we wish them great prosperity in the years to come.

lindsay and robert

Relationships — tiffany at 2:22 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2007

Lindsay and Robert are planning a beautiful Fall wedding next October where they intend to use pumpkins, leaves, and laterns for their decor.  Instead of the flower girls dropping rose petals, they will drop fall leaves just as the guests will throw leaves as the bride and groom depart from the ceremony.  We decided to use this theme throughout their engagement photos as well.  So…Nate traveled up to Busse Woods, just outside of Chicago, for a day with Lindsay and Robert.  Enjoy!

duplantier family

Generations — tiffany at 12:05 am on Tuesday, November 6, 2007

Here is our rule of thumb…sometimes it is easier to take pictures of kids if the parents are no where to be found.  Thankfully, I know this family.  So when I told the parents to get lost…I don’t think they were too offended.  And, what couple wouldn’t want a break from their kids to get a cup of joe and take a walk on a beautiful Autumn day?

These three were a trip.  We were obviously dealing with varying ages, genders, and attitudes.  But we loved them all.  Their personalities are so evident in these images.

We have decided this Autumn that we love texture, hats, and playing off birth order. Enjoy!

anderson family

Generations — tiffany at 9:17 pm on Monday, November 5, 2007

Molly and Mike have been two of my closest friends since high school…I adore them individually and together. There is nothing quite like the comfort of old friends. They knew they wanted to schedule a portrait shoot with Nate during their visit a few weeks ago from Chicago. It seems hard to believe that they now have three beautiful children…Logan, Riley and the newest addition, Finn. We went on a nature hike and I love how Nate captured their little personalities. I also am glad that Molly and Mike were able to get a few pictures alone. Enjoy!
