Generations — tiffany at 2:24 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2007

We have known Shannon and Mike for years now…in fact, we shot their wedding in San Francisco in 2003.  Since then they have become close friends of ours, also participating in our business in a variety of ways.  Shannon often shoots with Nate as his assistant.  Mike designed our web site and blog.  And…they continue to be one of our best referral sources.  We also have four baby girls between us all.  There will be lots of parties and sleepovers in our futures.  Here are some of our favorite images.  Enjoy!

Marriages — tiffany at 9:22 pm on Sunday, December 2, 2007

Wow…what a wedding! With a bride who is a wedding planner at one of the most prestigious hotels in Chicago…we were not surprised. Tara and Erik were completely and utterly enjoyable to work with. Nate and I felt as if we were a part of their guest list by the end of the night. Their friends and family are some of the warmest we have ever met. In fact, we were kind of sad to see the night come to an end.

The ceremony took place at St. Chrysostom’s followed by the reception at Cafe Brauer in Chicago. Tara had a beautiful vision for their wedding…including a trolley ride around the city, pictures along North Beach, four adorable children, table linens in a rich, chocolate velvet, an enormous and decadent cake, perfect floral arrangements, fabulous food (including late night cheeseburgers and milkshakes), and a super band. Oh…and we cannot forget to mention…the customized Bobble-heads they had made for each groomsmen. They were priceless.

As a side note…Nate made an incredible squirrel rescue while we were taking some images of the wedding party along the lake. He saw a squirrel with a plastic cup stuck over its head. He quickly grabbed the squirrel and removed the cup. Yeah…a saved creature all in a days work.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Enjoy!

See “busted…oops” from their wedding.
