I’m not very keen on photo contests, to Tiffany’s dismay.  However, when Helena’s brother asked me to enter a Swedish photography contest with him, I couldn’t say no. I thought the idea of entering a contest as a team was fun, and I had hoped it would win Peder some new equipment.  He is an excellent amateur photographer.

I am happy to say we won second place!

I took the image above of Helena’s mother and father sitting at the head table of their son’s wedding. It is a Swedish tradition to seat couples away from one another to stimulate conversation and to meet new people. It must have been the 45 years of dinning together that told them to stay put while everybody else had wandered off.
