gabe

Generations — tiffany at 7:25 pm on Wednesday, April 30, 2008

This little guy is the second son to good friend, Kate Berglund of KB Designs.  Gabe was perfect for his first photo shoot.  He didn’t even complain when we took his diaper off for some bare shots.   And his brother seems very excited to soon have a buddy to play with…it is just going to take about a year!  Enjoy!

thirty four

Personal — nate at 10:08 am on Friday, April 25, 2008

I have never been big on birthdays. Besides the first and your last, they really have little significance. However, now that I have my daughter, Elin, my attitude has changed. I looked into the mirror this morning and wondered if I would be here for my 68th birthday. My hope is – YES! I want to see the beautiful woman Elin grows into. She is my greatest gift, and one that keeps giving each day. Maybe I will be a grandpa on my 68th.

This image is of Elin and me today. N8

stephanie and mark

Relationships — nate at 11:56 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Stephanie and Mark are planning a late-Autumn wedding at Holy Spirit of Geist with a reception following at the Omni Severin. We think these two are great, and appreciate their adventuresome spirit on a location for an engagement shoot. Check out their pooch with the ‘human-like’ eyes. Special thanks to Trader’s Point Creamery for allowing us to shoot on their beautiful property.

anniversary extravaganza

Generations — nate at 12:26 am on Friday, April 18, 2008

Our Annual Anniversary Shoot proved to be just as fun as years in the past. We always hold the sessions on two Sundays in April. We always shoot in both Indianapolis and Chicago. And it is always available to any bride and groom whose wedding we photographed…whether it was eight years ago or last year. If you cannot make it one year, try another. This year was a mixed bag…newlyweds, a pregnancy and a new family. It is especially exciting for us to see how our friends change. Enjoy!

Thanks especially to Trader’s Point Creamery.

so cool

Cool Stuff — tiffany at 3:45 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2008

Nate and I participated in our first bridal show this past weekend in Zionsville. We actually had a great time…it was enjoyable meeting several 2009 brides and local vendors.

A couple we were particularly excited to meet just entered into the wedding and event business. If you are looking for a FABULOUS idea for guest gifts…THIS IS IT! We have only seen one of our clients offer this at their wedding..it was several years ago…and they had to drag the thing down from Chicago. Check out our photo booth images below, and then check out Indy Photo Booth. You can have the center of the image customized to your wedding colors and/or theme. Ask for Beth or Dave…they are great. P.S. Nate and I are a little goofy at times.

We are suckers for unique locations, especially if we can photograph there. So…we have two new rehearsal dinner spots (also locations for smaller weddings) that we have to share…Trader’s Point Creamery and The Sanctuary. Both are completely different from each other but beautiful.

Trader’s Point Creamery makes us feel like we are far from home yet in reality only a few miles away. It is a working organic farm with rolling hills and dirt roads. It has rustic barns they can be magically turned into magnificent venues for events, and a backdrop that makes us so grateful that we reside in the Midwest. Contact Gail if you are interested in a tour. She will talk your ear off…and she is super cool with awesome ideas.

The Sanctuary is a blessing to Zionsville. Nancy Noel, a famous artist, transitioned the old Methodist Church into literally her sanctuary of art. You need no decorations for you are surrounded by her amazing work with enormous windows that let warm light into the room. They have an enormous wood carved bar that was imported from Italy, and use only porcelain, silver, and linen. It is a spot to visit…even if only for High Tea.
