jen and greg

Talk about being blessed with weather! Jen and Greg’s wedding, which included an outdoor ceremony at the Indianapolis Museum of Art and reception, was literally sandwiched in between two cold, rainy days.

Jen and Greg live in New York City so naturally they love to try new restaurants, spend time across the street from their condo at Central Park, and travel. They also avid bicyclists which was built into the theme of their wedding. The print pieces were designed by Kristin Doversberger of Westwood Paper which included an antique tandem bicycle as the cornerstone. So, while they seem very social and smart they also have a great adventuresome side.

In lieu of favors, they had spring flowers planted in Central Park in honor of each guest. We thought this was especially meaningful. The personalization of their wedding went even further when Jen’s grandfather presided over the ceremony and her brother played the music for the ceremony. Then after a decadent meal, Zannadoo kicked the party into gear and everyone hit the dance floor for the night.

four kids

Generations — nate at 3:29 pm on Thursday, May 22, 2008

Another secret Father’s Day surprise (sshhhh).  Kate, the mother of these four adorable children, just wanted her kids captured as they were playing at the park.   Nate had probably as much fun as they did.  Enjoy!

Don’t you just love little summer dresses?  And how about these big blues and barefeet?  I have a feeling Claire’s dad is going to be excited when he sees his surprise Father’s Day present.  Shhhh…

posey and lawrence

We met Posey at a wedding we shot in San Francisco years ago. So…we were thrilled to hear when she got engaged to Lawrence and started planning her own wedding in Houston, Texas.

Posey and Lawrence are huge sports fans. In fact, their first date was at the World Series…quite an exciting way to start a relationship even though they sat desks apart for several years before they began the courtship.

Considering, Nate was in town early for the event they spent some of the afternoon on Friday taking casual images on the campus of Rice University followed by the rehearsal dinner.

The wedding festivities started early with a brunch and more images on campus. One super cool thing was the car they drove in…it was the same getaway car that Lawrence’s parents used at their wedding and was given to him when he got his driver’s license. The reception followed at the Rockefeller Hall. Nate particularly enjoyed hanging out with the wedding party and family all weekend. There were great stories to tell and he walked away from the weekend feeling like close friends.

sara and marc

Relationships — tiffany at 2:12 pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2008

This couple is just plain hot. We absolutely loved that they were up for the idea of a night engagement shoot. And, when it decided to pour rain, it was even more exciting and challenging than we had planned. Sara and Marc were so much fun to work with and willing to let us experiment with different locations and lighting.

We are completely pumped for their wedding at the Eiteljorg in August being expertly planned by wedding planner, Josh Gurvitz. Sara has undoubtedly the hottest gown we will ever photograph thanks to the diligent efforts of Lisa and Teresa at Saks Fifth Avenue Bridal. Enjoy!

welcome home

Generations — tiffany at 12:43 am on Tuesday, May 13, 2008

Both families in this post endured a significant hardship of being separated from each other for the past year.  Last April, Tim and Jerome deployed to Iraq. As Blackhawk pilots, their mission was to provide medical evacuation (Medevac) capabilities to wounded soldiers, contractors, and even our enemies on the battlefield.  The unit collectively flew 1,000 missions during their deployment. They were extremely successful by returning home with every soldier that was deployed.  Amazing!

The joy of seeing children with their fathers again after such a long absence cannot be adequately described.  The strength of the women left behind is impossible to understand.  And the courage, stamina, and quick-thinking abilities that these men must have is something to truly be proud of.

On Armed Forces Day (this Saturday), we would like to welcome home every soldier from the 2/238  C Company Medevac unit.  Congratulations on a successful mission!
