punk prom

As you may know, Nate and I like to begin and end our peak photography season with something a bit wild, wacky, and creative. We think it puts nice ‘bookends’ on each year. Last year, we began with the ‘Sexy Shoot‘ and concluded a very busy year with the ‘Trash the Dress‘.

So we got our thinking caps on, collaborated with Allure Salon and came up with a fabulous idea…Anti-Prom (otherwise known as Punk Prom). We have enjoyed working with seniors this past year so much that we thought it would be a blast to totally take them out of their element…wild, crazy, punked out hair and makeup to match. We were thrilled with the results of the looks we achieved.

We are most thankful for the participation of Melissa Ingersoll’s team at Allure Salon. They have recently opened an awesome salon off of 106th Street and Michigan Road. It was a perfect place to begin a perfect day.

And finally…thanks especially to our Punk Divas – Cortney, Danielle, Eva, Paige, and Sophie (and of course, their parents for their consent) for rockin’ it. You gals were clearly a blast to work with and we appreciate your willingness to act a different part for a day. Best wishes to you as you enter college in the Fall. Enjoy!

Tiffany and Jordan started off their wedding weekend leisurely but separately. Tiffany and her bridesmaids enjoyed the Spa and lunch. Meanwhile, Jordan and his groomsmen went go-karting. The next afternoon, they descended upon the majestic Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis for both their ceremony and reception.

Wedding planner Rebecca Raymond and Amanda Lopez of the Scottish Rite outdid themselves on the decor for Tiffany and Jordan’s wedding. It was absolutely stunning. We were happy to work with Rue de Fleurs for the first time. As you can tell from the images, their arrangements were beautiful. The stayed rockin’ with the band Zanadoo.

Congratulations to Tiffany and Jordan!

Generations — nate at 10:17 pm on Sunday, May 4, 2008

Look what a couple of years brings!  We shot Deanna and Pat’s wedding wedding in 2005.  Connor just turned six months old and not only is he adorable (and very Irish looking, I might add) but he has great parents.  We have kept in close contact with these two over the past few years and really appreciated them asking us to photograph their little buddy.  In fact, Deanna is highly involved in the Heroes Foundation where she coordinates the Gala each year.  We donated a portrait sitting to the cause and then Deanna and Pat were the winning bidders.

stoner six

Personal — tiffany at 1:28 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2008

We seldom post personal images but this moment was too good not to share. This was the happiest moment we will remember as a family…The Stoner Six.

My husband, Tim, was deployed to Iraq last April. He had an admirable cause of flying Medevac missions to save soldiers lives. I, along with my four young children (Briggs, Gage, Emerson, and Campbell), missed him considerably during his absence.  However, we found great strength in the support of our friends and family. Most importantly, we remained positive and grateful for the experience.

To see the entire collection of images that I am forever thankful for Nate capturing, you may visit our blog, Letters From Tim.  Thank you.

seniors — tiffany at 8:08 am on Thursday, May 1, 2008

Once again…another great senior shoot with Nadalie who was willing to get creative and have a lot of fun. It just so happens that Nadalie is focusing her studies in college on photography and dentistry…definitely an interesting mix.

In any case, it got us excited for the upcoming Class of 2009. We hope to shoot a dozen or so seniors this summer. Enjoy and best wishes, Nadalie.
