The “Ax” is ONE!

The “Red Rocket” is Axel’s first set of wheels. As soon as he saw it on Christmas morning, he fell in love. It is a bit large, but by summer he will be picking up the ladies. Here are a few shots of the little man. Elin likes it as well.

p.s. This boy is cute, sweet, mischievous, and a bit crazy. For all you out there with older, younger, and not yet born daughters…watch out!

abbie and gabe

Marriages — tiffany at 4:30 pm on Saturday, December 19, 2009

Last year, we first met Abbie and Gabe in Maui when Abbie’s parents renewed their vows over a week long excursion with their closest friends and family.  We could tell just by how they looked at each other that they were bound to get married.  So, we were thrilled to hear about their engagement, and to work with this warm and charming family again.

This extraordinary wedding was pulled together in marathon speed by Tonya Shadoan’s team from Circle City Planners.  The wedding was held at two of the most majestic venues in Indianapolis:  the ceremony at the Indiana State House, and the reception following in the Grand Hall at Union Station. The details included branding and print items by Kate Berglund of KB Designs, florals by Eventful Florals, chairs and linens by A Classic, videography by IndyVisual, music by the Flying Toasters, lighting by Evans Audio Visual, photo booth by Indy Photo Booth, and hair/makeup by Karen Hall.

Congratulations, Abbie and Gabe!

There is so much to say about this threesome…we have known them for years. Our friendship started when we photographed their wedding in San Francisco, and has continued on through births, birthdays, anniversaries, relocations, job changes, and more.  We could not be more happy for this family!

The wedding isn’t until July but we are in regular contact with Brittany.  She is just one of the brides we instantly had a connection with. She and Carter are clearly stunning…see below.

They, along with wedding planner Tonya Shadoan of Circle City Planners, have their eyes set for a romantic wedding with slate grey and deep purples at Christ Church and the Skyline Club.  While we certainly welcome the slow, Winter season in the Midwest, this is a wedding we are looking forward to in 2010.

Congratulations, Brittany and Carter!

Marriages — tiffany at 1:10 am on Monday, December 7, 2009

Mandy and Todd had a beautiful wedding on a cold day in October.  However, they took it in stride and remained looking nothing short of stunning.  In fact, Nate even pulled a kite out of his camera bag thinking it might be kind of fun.  Fun until the security guards at the courthouse reminded us that no flying objects can be put in motion around a government building any longer.  Oops!

We especially loved Mandy’s chandelier earrings…and what girl can deny loving a pair of Christian Louboutin heels on her wedding day!  They added a lot of zing and definitely a few inches!

Both the ceremony and reception were carefully handled with the guidance of AJ Ploughe at the Columbia Club which made for a picture perfect backdrop.

One of our favorite aspects to the reception was when Mandy and Todd, Dancing with the Stars wannabes, had their wedding party hold up scores after their first dance.  Of course, there was no score less than a’9′!

Congratulations…Mandy and Todd!
