This California couple are die hard Indianapolis Colts fans.  So, it was with such a shock and joy to be let upon the field at Lucas Oil Stadium for some quick snapshots unexpectedly with the wedding party. Haley and Daniel thought it was better than the ceremony which was hard to compete with at the beautiful St. John Church just a few blocks away from stadium.  Followed by the reception at the Hyatt Indianapolis which was a first for us to photograph at.

Haley and Daniel were such a pleasure to work with…she is thoughtful and outgoing.  Daniel has a humorous confidence about him.  Together…they are adorable.

Some of our favorite aspects to this wedding:  Chris Cromwell of Bloomz beautiful bouquets, Haley’s spicy blue Valentino heels, the surprise groom’s cake by Classic Cakes designed to look like a six pack of Old Style, and the best of all..dueling pianos from Howl at the Moon as the entertainment for the reception.

We didn’t meet Jennifer until months after she booked us for her wedding.  Honestly, I never thought she would call back.  It was one of those days that I shouldn’t have even picked up the phone with several kids home sick.  But I took the call and wound up writing my notes in blue crayon on a scrap piece of paper while carrying around at least one child.

I brought the scrap paper along to the wedding just for a great laugh.  She thought the conversation had clearly gone much better than I while I muted out the cries of children.  In any case, we began to forge a nice friendship…we especially loved her mother from the moment we met…sincere, kind and just plain cute.

Often times, Indiana is full of surprises so it was a warm welcome that on this November day (YES…only one more wedding to post from 2009) that it was beautiful out.  The day was perfect for Jennifer and Brian beginning with the gals getting ready at the Omni Severin, then walking to St. John for a lovely ceremony.   I now know to bring along a Tide stick to every wedding because we had remove a stain that mysteriously appeared before the ceremony.

Anyway, after the ceremony concluded we cruised around the museum campus and Capitol with a terrific wedding party which included a lot of family.

The reception was at the gorgeous Omni Severin where Palmer/Kelley Designs and Flip Miller Band all participated greatly in making it a fabulous event.

I am going to go out on a limb here…if you have never had the chance to bite into a cupcake from Sweet Lucinda’s…you are missing out on a little early slice of heaven.  Literally, there just ain’t nothin’ better.  So, needless to say, we have become quite good friends with Courtney, owner/baker/founder/creator of Sweet Lucinda’s.  Her eclectic style and vivacious personality just drew us in.

We are thrilled to hear any day what has ‘popped out of her oven’.  At this point, she is overdue.  An early congratulations to our favorite cupcake gal!

We are nearly caught up with only two more weddings and several portraits from 2009 so this post is overdue to this gracious and wonderful family!

We think so highly of Emily and Franklin.  They seem to get completely absorbed in each other, and have an enormous amount in common…including their professions.  It was a beautiful wedding which began at the Columbia Club where the wedding party got ready and pictures along the Circle.  Everyone then moved to the Meridian Street Methodist Church for a candlelight ceremony…simple and intimate.  And back to the Columbia Club in one of the great antique cars from Antique Limo of Indy.

Congratulations, Emily and Franklin!  Check back in a few days for your wedding album design.  Enjoy!
