The “Red Rocket” is Axel’s first set of wheels. As soon as he saw it on Christmas morning, he fell in love. It is a bit large, but by summer he will be picking up the ladies. Here are a few shots of the little man. Elin likes it as well.

p.s. This boy is cute, sweet, mischievous, and a bit crazy. For all you out there with older, younger, and not yet born daughters…watch out!
The “Ax” is ONE!
bob & tom
We had a great time on the Bob & Tom show on Veteran’s Day. We should have predicted that ‘MAJOR STONER’ would have been the hot topic. It is too good of a joke to pass up! Anyway, it was an honor. We certainly appreciate their interest in Familyprint, our book that will soon be released and nonprofit we recently established for deployed families.

familyprint
We are proud and excited to announce the launch of FamilyPrint: One Family’s Unique Reflection During War. It contains the experiences and communication we used during Tim’s deployment to: stay in touch, dispel our fears, display our love and articulate the gratitude we have for all of those that supported us. It also includes a stunning collection of images taken by Nathan Rowe of Nathaniel Edmunds Photography in a 250-page coffee-table book.
After several long months, our publisher has sent the book to print! We expect the pre-order copies to ship by the end of the month. To learn more about the book, please visit our web site for more information >>> click here to enter FamilyPrint. You can also click here to see the press release that went out to the media >>> press release.
FamilyPrint is a nonprofit organization assisting the families of veterans deployed overseas. Striving to support both the soldier in harm’s way as well as the family here at home, FamilyPrint offers programs that assist with the outbound and inbound transition of the soldier, childcare support during deployment, financial assistance for families in need and care items for deployed soldiers.
Thank you to the team that made this launch happen…IBJ Custom Publishing, Kate Berglund of KB Design, Molly Anderson of WriteSmart, Mike Barron, Amy Baker, and many others.

odd angle
Since Nate was a young boy, he could maneuver his body into some strange positions. However, this one I caught is classic. He looks like a one-legged, headless photographer! Good thing he didn’t split his pants!

it’s summertime
Despite the rain we have accumulated over the past weeks…it is summertime! My house is full of kids (and not just mine) on a daily basis. You wouldn’t believe the amount of food children can consume. But we are having a lot of fun. I have such fond memories of summer. I hope my kids will too! Here are some snapshots of the local gang…

flying high
What is the saying…the shoemakers children are often shoeless?
Well…a professional photographer rarely has a chance to work on personal images. Nate and I took these images on our trip to Hawaii nearly a year ago. He just got around to editing them!
We were on top of the highest peak (10,000 feet above sea level) on Haleakala in Maui trying to make it appear as if we were floating through the air. Nate succeeded much better than I with his Aladdin-like pose. I look like a cross between a Van Halen wannabe and an outdated cheerleader.

apple eater

I have finally begun to edit a years worth of family images that have been stockpiling on my hard drive. This is my favorite thus far.
One free Sunday Elin, Helena, and I took an afternoon trip to Stuckey Farm to pick apples. Elin loved it! She would take a bite out of any apple that came into her path. It did not matter if they were rotting, had bite marks from the previous taster, or had been freshly picked from the many trees.
This image makes me look forward to another summer with my little apple eater.
